Located only a minute’s walk from the greenery of Queen’s Park itself, we’re bringing a special collection of just two new houses. Tucked along a private, gated pathway, each home brings something altogether different to the area – angular distinctive forms set before a backdrop of swaying ash trees. Inside, space unfolds across open-plan living areas, secondary reception rooms and at least three bedrooms, all ensuite. Plus, each house features a private garden, set against the backdrop of the neighbouring ash trees.
Spearwood’s interiors pair the familiar with the unexpected, where the everyday is tipped slightly off-axis. Textured walls sweep through the principal living spaces, catching the light differently as the shade shifts. In the kitchens, Leicht cabinetry pairs rich oak veneer with brushed-silver units, stainless-steel worktops and mirrored splashbacks. Bathrooms bring stainless steel and travertine basins, rainfall showers and marble-effect porcelain underfoot. Powder rooms go further still, with terracotta mosaic walls and a sculptural cylindrical basin. Even door handles are leather wrapped (by the talented team at Bill Amberg Studio) and concrete columns soften angular rooms. Nothing here is purely functional, nothing purely decorative – every material undertaking two roles at once.
And yet, step out onto Tiverton Road, and you’re straight back into the fabric of the neighbourhood – dog walks on the green, Sunday at the farmers’ market, lunch on Lonsdale Road. Queen’s Park has a rhythm entirely its own. A low-key, village-paced hum that feels rare this close to central London. It’s a place built on good taste: leafy streets, a devoted community, days that begin with strong coffee and end with dinner only a short stroll from home.
