Tom Skoulding

Project Coordinator

Tom studied Architectural & Interdisciplinary Studies at UCL’s Bartlett, graduating with First-Class Honours. His degree sat between architecture, design, construction and critical thinking, and sparked a strong interest in how good ideas turn into well-built, deliverable projects.

At Artform, Tom supports projects from early design through to construction, working closely with project managers, consultants, contractors and clients. He spends time making sure nothing falls between disciplines, spotting any missing items and helping avoid issues later on on-site.

Alongside this, Tom runs a data-driven analytics side project, which has shaped how he thinks about value and decision-making. He cares deeply about understanding and improving systems, helping our teams make smart, well-timed decisions that balance design ambition with cost, clarity and buildability.

Q&A

Who would you most like to design and build a house for?

David Attenborough. I hope he would want his house to give him some kind of connection to nature which I would enjoy. Although given the age difference, I’m not sure our design ideals would align. I would also get to meet him which is definitely a bonus.

What song would be the soundtrack to your day at work?

Suspended in Gaffa – Kate Bush. Energetic, upbeat and a little crazy.

What has surprised you the most about working at Artform?

How quickly you learn! Thanks to how happy everyone is to help with tasks, no matter how busy they are.

If you were stuck on a desert island, who from the office would you want to be stuck with any why?

I’m going to say Dave. He is very calm and composed whilst seemingly knowing everything. He also surfs so if we managed to fashion some boards we would have something to pass the time.
